Once I hired Porch and Pearls for the day-of coordination for my daughter's 9.4.21 wedding, I felt completely supported and at ease. Business owner Marian Braccia was available to answer any question along the way...and planning through COVID presented an additional layer of complications. My daughter's wedding was held @ her childhood home in our front yard which added to the planning complexities since we needed several vendors to make her dreams come true. Marian was there with vendor suggestions- as well as support on how to make the wedding safe for our guests. Additionally, my daughter (and now son-in-law) live 3000 miles away and Marian helped bridge the distance with Zoom calls as well as through ongoing and clear emails with our team. There was a snag on the wedding day with our assigned day-of coordinator but Marian solved the problem seamlessly. As a first time mother of the bride, I engaged Marian to help me with the process (Partial Planning package) since I was trying to take as much off the couple's plate as possible. It was absolutely, a very wise decision! Barely into the planning process but about to sign with a venue, Covid arrived and Marian helped us quickly switch gears from an indoor to outdoor venue. Throughout the unknowns and unchartered waters of the pandemic year, Marian helped guide us with her intelligence, incredible knowledge of the industry, and decisive demeanor. She was always respectful of and interested in some of our less common traditions, making sure that she understood clearly what needed to happen. Marian provided us with checklists and also clued us into things that we didn't even know we had to address . As the big day approached, she sat in on our final meetings with vendors to make sure we were all on the same page and worked to make sure they were clear on our needs. When some difficulties arose during the week of the wedding, she jumped on top of the situation to help resolve it. Needless to say, on the day of the wedding she was terrific! Upbeat, even though it was freezing (on Memorial day weekend) and had rained for three days straight creating some logistical issues for our outdoor wedding, Marian kept a smile on her face and made sure the day flowed as it was supposed to. She checked in with me constantly, and jumped on any questions I had during the day. Though I was the main contact for Marian, my daughter also connected with her very well and Marian 'got' both of our personalities and concerns. The day after the wedding, the couple was so grateful that Marian had been there. It let them enjoy the fabulous party without any concerns. We shared a laugh over the fact that we don't know how anyone deals with the stress of weddings week after week - but Marian truly loves her job! Having Marian in your court is the only way to go!
